Chukar Study
This painting on slate was inspired by a visit to my friend, Laney's home. She lives in Crowheart, Wyoming. While visiting Laney this spring I noticed there were many Chukars at her feeder and on the grass. I took reference photos and decided to paint the chukars on slate to give it a natural looking color and background.
