Still Life

The inspiration of this still life painting was from my collection of vintage books that were stored in an old wooden box. The books are beautiful colors and spoke to me "paint me." Also the book "Complete Cheerful Cherub" was a gift from my Mother many years ago. Many hours of glazing with oil paints and painting with a very small brush and a magnifying glass made this a very unique piece. To top it off, my husband Dan, built the barn wood frame and used old, rusty nails to finish this vintage looking artwork.
