Buntings Migrating over the Cirque
This is a second nocturne painting of Lazuli Buntings migrating over the Cirque of the Towers in the Wind River Mountains in Wyoming. During the Art of Hybridization project with the University of Wyoming Biodiversity Institute I learned that Buntings migrate at night. This totally intrigued me and I have painted several bunting nocturne paintings to honor these tough, beautiful birds.
