Jupiter - Great Horned Owl
Jupiter is a Great Horned Owl that was rescued 20 years ago near the Jackson Hole area. He probably was hit by a vehicle. He was in bad condition and was very thin. After being treated and evaluated they realized that Jupiter's eyes were injured. Since then has lived at Lander WG&F and cared for, most recently by Rene Shell. For two years now I have had the pleasure of teaching a life drawing class with Jupiter the Great Horned Owl. I have painted Jupiter several times and I look forward to spending time with Jupiter, who has 'hooted' during our class, what a thrill!
